Application Information

Several models of Accuplan are available, allowing users the choice of measuring width only, length and width at the center of the field of view, the full outline of plates stopped within the field of view, the full outline of plates moving through the field of view, and the full outline of plates much longer than the field of view.

Accuplans have been used at the entry and at the exit of both single and two stand plate mills. They can be mounted in a house below the mill roof (above the crane) or in a shed on top of the mill roof, as circumstances allow.

KELK application specialists will visit the mill site and work with the customer to determine the best Accuplan model and options - both standard and custom - for each particular plate mill and control scheme. Full documentation including Installation drawings and house requirements will be provided for customer consideration.

Service plans are available, as are upgrades for older gages, to provide improved performance, modern diagnostic features, and extended service life.
