Electronics Technician
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Optics and Electronics Manufacturing, is responsible for the assembly/test of electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Duties:
- Wiring of various control devices from schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Assembly of mechanical parts using drawings and procedures.
- Prepare written records of test results, using prescribed forms as required.
- Prepare report on Customer returned products.
- Repair defective units.
- Assist with PCB manufacturing operations, when required.
- Other duties appropriate to this position.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Must be able to work from schematics, assembly drawings and test and manufacturing procedures
- Must have good electronics and mechanical knowledge and good troubleshooting abilities
- Conversant with all test equipment i,e, scopes, analyzers etc. is an asset
- Must have good soldering skills
- Must have good manual dexterity
Communications
- Good English both written and oral
- Ability to liaise with other departments as required
